Data from the Danish Ministry of Health and the Statens Serum Institut shows that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine has registered with a lower vaccine effect. This has caused an action from the ministry, which offers revaccination with one of the two approved vaccines, Moderna and Pfizer (SST (Danish): https: / /www.sst.dk/da/Nyheder/2021/Sundhedsstyrelsen-fremlaegger-plan-for-revaccination).
This summer, many signed up for a vaccine program that provided the opportunity to be vaccinated with one of the scrapped vaccines, i.e. Johnson & Johnson or AstraZeneca. The vaccines were taken out of use in Denmark due to the side effects with the risk of developing rare blood clots and platelet disorders (VITT syndrome). It was later decided that these vaccines were offered to people who signed up for the optional program.
At PentaBase, we offer an antibody test that gives you insight into your immunity level against SARS-CoV-2. This test can detect your antibody level from your course of the disease and your vaccine. Our IgG antibody test can determine the amount of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein-specific IgG antibodies that can help calculate individual immunity and protection from SARS-CoV-2. We base the interpretation of the results on antibody quantification according to WHO international standards. Read more of our IgG antibody test here.
Let us give you an insight into whether your level of protection from your Johnson & Johnson corona vaccine and if you need another vaccine?
Our IgG antibody test is available in Herlev Sunday through Tuesday and is bookable here.
