PentaBase is monitoring the COVID-19 development and will test for all relevant mutations.
As one of the first companies in Europe, PentaBase has developed a new fast Real-Time PCR analysis, which can detect the more infectious variants, cluster B.1.1.7, cluster B.1.351/501YV2, cluster P.1, and mutation N439K.
PentaBase’s assays are In Vitro Diagnostic assays for the detection of mutations found in SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.7, B.1.351, P.1, and other variants. COVID-19 Mutation RT-PCR diagnostic assays are real-time RT (reverse transcriptase) PCR assays intended for the detection of genetic variations from positive SARS-CoV-2 samples. Results are for the detection of genetic variations N501Y, P681H, Del69-70, E484K, N439K, and A701V.
PentaBase will test all samples for cluster B.1.1.7, cluster B.1.351/501YV2, cluster P.1 and Mutation N439K without further cost, to offer an even better service for all our customers.
About CoviDetect™ Variations (Mutations)
PentaBase offers assays for the detection of the following SARS-CoV-2 variants:
The assays are provided in both simplex and Multiplex formats. CoviDetect™ COVID-19 Mutation RT-PCR assays are supplied as either Dispense-Ready (DR) or Ready-To-Use (RTU) versions. The technology applies to several well dispersed real-time PCR instruments as well as PentaBase’s own portfolio of instruments with the use of standard procedures.
Why is it important to test for COVID-19 variants?
PentaBase helps Denmark fight COVID-19 through fast detection of infection and close monitoring of the development of SARS-CoV-2 mutations.
Our experience demonstrates that the key to controlling the spread of infection and helping the fight against COVID-19 is through faster and more sensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 and relevant variants. With our CoviDetect™ COVID-19 Mutation RT-PCR Assays, genetics variations from positive SARS-CoV-2 samples can be detected quickly, sensitively, and selectively by real-time RT-PCR followed by a DNA melt analysis.
PentaBase is ready to test for all types of mutations as soon as they pose a risk to our society, and we welcome any inquiries for the development of new COVID-19 mutation assays.
