Assays for Assisting the Diagnosis of Mastocytosis and stratification of Lymphomas
The KIT D816V mutation is present with high frequency in patients suffering from systemic mastocytosis and is part of the World Health Organization diagnostic criteria for mastocytosis. The PlentiPlex™ KIT Mastocytosis qPCR Assay offers a KIT D816V limit of detection (LOD) of just 0.005% in whole blood samples to support early and sensitive detection of mastocytosis.
The presence of the MYD88 L265P mutation can be used to discriminate between Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma/Waldenström macroglobulinemia (LPL/WM) and other non-Hodgkin lymphomas. The PlentiPlex™ MYD88 Waldenström Lymphoma qPCR Assay sensitively detects the MYD88 L265P mutation in FFPE (0.75% LOD)and whole blood (0.6% LOD) samples to assist the stratification of lymphomas.
